Paul Liebezeit suspended six months by FINRA
In September, 2016, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) announced that Paul Liebezeit of Berwyn, PA, a registered representative with Purshe Kaplan Sterling submitted an acceptance, waiver and consent letter whereby he was suspended from association with any FINRA member in any capacity for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $5,000. The FINRA complaint asserted that Paul Liebezeit participated in private securities transactions away from the firm, without obtaining permission from Purshe Kaplan Sterling. The transaction involved the offering of private hedge fund shares/securities to customers.
